Time Travel Episode One

Goo Goo- GAAA GAAAAA
The story of Penelope: The time traveling baby

It was a cloudy day when Penelope was born. The wind roared and the sky was dark. However, it wasn’t I an angry way, more of a…sign you can say.

“Mam…I have some interesting news.” Doctor Shepard said. “Your baby is…is…A TIME TRAVELER!!!!!”

Her mother gasped, she never encountered a time traveling baby before! Would she take care of her like any normal child? Is there a special school for this? Can I control it? What do I do!? Her mind was racing with options.

The doctor left her hospital room as her mother started to calm down. Suddenly she realized, everyone was gone. The doctor…other people…everyone. Then a huge ball of tumble weed rolled by.

The room then started shaking, and in crawled Penelope next to a grown woman in her thirties.

“I am Penelope.” They both said in unison.  (Except baby Penelope obviously said it in baby language)

Their mother fainted

“Haha it’s funny because this is like the eighth time I’ve seen this happen…ya know...being a time traveler and all.” Grown Penelope said, “Alright lets get her up.”

30 MINUTES LATER

“I had the craziest dream…AHHH! Wake up Denise WAKE UP!” Penelopes’  mother started slapping herself silly

“It’s okay! Grown Penelope said, “What the doctor told you was true. I am a time traveler, however mother, it is a gift, not a curse.”

Denise was still wiping the sweat off her forehead. First she had to give birth and now this. What else could happen?!

In walked another woman of about 20 years of age. The woman again looked just like Penelope and…just kidding. It was just the nurse.

Anyway, “Mom really. I travel through time, but it has a huge amount of benefits. As I grow I learn how to control my gift. I also have no source of income when I don’t feel like it, because hey! I can just travel to wherever I want if I’m in a tussle right?! Anyway, don’t fret mom. It will be a long journey…but an amazing one. I’ll leave you with baby me now, I was just so cute then anyways.”

To Be Continued

She gasped with excitement and shouted over the noise of the propeller: "The islands in the clouds are real!!"

Everyone in the class turned around and stared. "What is she doing...?" "Hahah yeah I don't even know what goes on in that weird mind of hers half the time." Her classmates chuckled. As Molly gathered her thoughts after being sucked into a captivating daydream, she realized she was the subject of laughter.

Spanish was Molly's least favorite subject, actually, take that back, school was her least favorite subject. She never enjoyed school. She always said her future would have nothing to do with the classes she was forced to take, and the people didn't make it any better. So, today as she was listening to a song that sounded like a propeller noise, she got sucked into her drawing. Drawing brought her into a new world, a world where absolutely no one else could enter. It's almost as if she didn't even know what was going on when it started, so that's what she did. Started.

It began with a small stroke, that brought to life amazing things. Even something that most would call impossible, became possible. She poured her thoughts and feeling into her drawings. Her mind started speaking to her, “Boom! A splatter of paint…that..that came from a man in the air….who..just…learned to fly! The paint man?! *Crumple Crumple* start over. Maybe a…”

“Excuse me?”

Molly flew her pen back, shaken back into this other world, the “real world”

“Oh…I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you.” Gray said. “I just wanted to tell you, those drawings look really cool. Honestly, I’ve ever seen anything like them.”

Molly was shocked beyond belief. Gray was the “cool” girl, the popular mean one, or so she thought. “Uhh thanks..” Molly said.

“No problem. Listen, I know we’ve never really spoken before, and I know you probably have a bunch of preconceived ideas of who I really am.”

Molly shook her head nonchalantly

“But I just wanted to say that I’m not really what everyone thinks I am. I mean, I really like to draw too…can I maybe see some of yours?”

Molly thought back to herself, all the years she blamed everyone around her for making her feel inferior, always including Gray in those memories. However, when she actually recalled back on them, Gray had nothing to do with these moments. She actually had nothing to do with anything bad that has ever happened to her, so why not give her a chance?

Molly handed Gray her doodles and Gray dropped her mouth. She was floored.

“Can you teach me how to do this?!” Gray exclaimed. These are amazing, but this one is definitely my favorite.”

Molly picked up her doodle that she had been working on all period. She saw her drawing and the islands in the sky that she worked so hard to make look perfect.

“It’s almost as if,” Gray said with a smile. “ the islands in the sky…are real.”

Pawel Kuczynski Photo Review

As a review of Pawel Kuczynski's photo above, his art really intrigued me. He specifies in art that usually has double meanings. As shown in the picture above, he plays on the subject of drinking and "getting hooked." He also has pictures below showing how a man is talking into a gutter, and he seems to look like a politician. His art shows a lot of controversy in subjects regarding poverty, slavery, murder and more. The way he takes modern day societies views on things and relates them to actual subjects was very interesting to me. He seems to take a lot of risks regarding subjects that are sensitive to most people. I appreciate his guts and the way he, again, takes modern views on certain subjects. The link above is a link to a lot of his pieces. If you have any spare time, I recommend taking a look at them. They definitely make you think. Here’s some more examples below.

It's About Time.

Sunflowers are running away from their other life.
Born under the tree, they sang a tune of complete spite.
They try to live based in a world of time.
But they notice that their petals are absent of fright.
So they continue their original life. Timelessly.
